ROTA Steel Fishing Tackle Box .
Manufactured in Huntingdale, Melbourne Vic, by Sinclair & Powell P/L. Sheet Metal (steel) construction, blue hammer tone paint finish; length 43.5cm, width 20.5cm and height 22cm. Due to the mild steel fabrication this all metal expandable tackle box was prone to rusting, especially in a saltwater environment and was also considered to be heavy and noisy by most anglers. As a result market acceptance was low, so the Rota steel tackle box was only available for a very short period before production discontinued in the early 1970s. Rare to find with paper fly fisherman decal intact -c. late 1960s.
